For years, I’ve been struggling to keep track of my writing progress. I would set a goal, more goals, and even more goals — then I’d get overwhelmed. I had a whole system already: a goals planner, an author’s planner, a google calendar, and lots of post-its on my wall.
But none of these worked the way I wanted them to.
It doesn’t have to be this way. It should be easy to commit to a monthly goal and count your wins. It should be automatic to reflect and start fresh each quarter.
That’s why I’ve designed my own 2022 Writer’s Calendar. It will work for anyone who wants to write a lot — authors, academics, business book writers, novelists, bloggers, and so on.
It has all the ingredients that I use as a writer and book coach:
- annual goals
- writing ritual
- setting a ‘mood’ for the month
- top writing goals
- word counters
- quarterly reflection
- annual reflection
- planning rewards
I’ve written on all these topics on medium this past year, and I’m helping my clients to use these systems for more productivity.
In the future, I hope to produce this calendar as a printed version. But for now, I’m giving it away for free.
You can download your 2022 Writers’ Calendar as pdf here.
Of course, I’d love to get feedback on the calendar if you are using it. Simply comment below or find my contact details on my medium profile page.
